Ouisie’s Table Wedding: Kim & Lindell

There’s something to be said for larger weddings. With 200+ guests. And Uncle Bobby dancing on the table, wearing his tie as a headband. The dramatic entrances. Thriller blaring in your ear. And the kind of energy that gets a wedding photographer’s adrenaline pumping. I love it…

But then there are weddings on the smaller side. Twenty guests, give or take a few. A family that welcomes you in as an honorary member. And feeds you quail wrapped in bacon with pureed squash and halved brussel sprouts as a ‘vendor meal.’ A bride and groom so entirely in love. Who hug you every chance they get just to say thank you. When really, all the thanks belongs to them. That was last weekend’s wedding. And to say I loved it? Well, that would just be redundant.

Kim & Lindell – Thank you so much for trusting me to capture such an important day in your lives. What a blessing it’s been to meet your sweet families and witness their beautiful blending. Enjoy your sneak peek! XOXO!!

Why not get the ball rolling with some of the gorgeous floral by Ouisie’s own florist-extraordinaire, Naomi Lofton. Just about the sweetest girl ever, with talented oozing from her pores. I’m also pretty sure hydrangeas are the way to my heart. That and quail wrapped in bacon. ;)

The bride’s Gianni Bini shoes added just the right amount of dazzle.LOVED Kim’s non-traditional cocktail dress from Nordstrom.New favorite ring shot. EVAAA.Ouisie’s Table offers such incredible backdrops every.where.you.stinking.turn.Meet the bride! Miss Kim Stephens. ‘Bout to be a Chapman. :)There’s just something about this shot I enjoy. Three generations coming together to get this beaming bride ready to marry her man!Okay, so I had to make this a big one… This is Kim’s sister’s dog. A poodle who thinks she’s a guard dog. This was also taken through a glass door, for fear of my life. Because she looks oh so threatening, right? We were able to snag a few shots of the lovely couple during the last bits of daylight before their evening ceremony.Lindell, you are quite fetching.Wo-o-o-ork it.And these just make me happy. Kim’s two daughters, Brandi and Mariah, are the bomb. And little Grant just stole my heart.
GAHHHH. The details!See what I mean about the floral? Breathtaking.Kim and Lindell’s reception was a low-key evening of great food, conversation and impromptu dancing to instrumental jazz. It was also an evening of trying to figure out which movie star Kim’s brother resembles to a T. Billy Bob Thornton, anyone? Or is it somebody else? And lastly.. A happy bride and groom makes for a very happy Alyse. Love these two. :)

Happy Thursday, everybody!
