Teaberry Farm Wedding: Jenny & Chris

He’s in law school. And she’s an Olympic archer. Yes, I really did just write that.. Jenny and Chris are phenomenal. They are driven and accomplished. But more than that, they love each other in a way I haven’t often seen before. Words are few to describe it. The way they hold each other, speak to each other, share their hearts with each other. Jenny treasures Chris and Chris adores his bride. And they know how treasured and adored they are by their Creator. This kind of love is a photographer’s dream. Because it is the realest love imaginable…

On September 1st, Dylan and I were SO very thankful to spend the day in Jacksonville, TX, documenting Chris and Jenny’s wedding. It was a day that left me in a constant state of hyperventilation. In a good way! The beauty everywhere you turned. A bride wearing a gown fit for Princess Kate. A tall, dark and handsome groom in a three-piece gray suit. And the beginning of a new life… We got home and I set a new record for image selecting. :)

J&C – What can I say that hasn’t already been said? Thank you. For this opportunity. And for inspiring us in so many ways. We’re thrilled to have been part of your wedding, and hope we can help you relive it with some of our very favorite shots! We are thankful to have you as clients. But more so to have you as friends. XOXO!!

Please don’t get me started on Teaberry Farm… It’s one of the most incredible venues I’ve ever laid eyes on. Pictured above is the Carriage House, where Jenny and her girls got ready. It’s also where we photographed J’s stunning White by Vera Wang dress and Vince Camuto flats. LOVING these books in the background!

Huge shout out to dear friend and floral designer Jody Strom! I loved seeing her work her magic! When Jenny first got a glimpse of her bouquet, she barely stopped short of jumping up and down. Couldn’t blame her. :)

Meet the bride. Even her penmanship is perfect!

Can you see what I mean now? She may as well be royalty. All hail!!

I then caught up with Chris just before the first look. He was looking SHARP.

This could be my favorite shot from the day. Something about their faces mere seconds before seeing each other for the first time? It just floors me. This guy has no clue what amount of beauty is about to knock him right over. :)

Exchanging letters. Jenny read hers aloud to Chris. And it began with a portion she’d written to her future husband long before meeting him… Loving how these two are framing the chapel door.

Deciding on a first look meant ample time dedicated to bride and groom portraits before the ceremony! I mean, LOOK AT THEM. Who wouldn’t be happy photographing these two good-lookers?! I SO wanted this image to be mine. But alas, it’s that Dylan-guy’s. ;) Forget what I said about previous favorites. This one takes the cake.

It was a hot, hot day. But J&C even agreed to do some dancing for the camera.

The slooowest kiss imaginable. D’s shot. :)

Dylan’s view alongside mine.

The number of backdrops calling my name was ridiculous. But I could have shot in front of this gate all day!

And then it was the groomsmen’s turn…

Such a warm and welcoming wedding party. We are grateful to have met each one of you!!

I heart these gorgeous girls. Their miss-matched dresses had me in swoon-mode.

And ceremony time had me thinking in black and white…

That’s Kyle Strom right there! Giving an incredible, personal, and challenging message.

Dylan’s again! :)

No matter what anybody tells you, lavender (like rice, bird seed, you name it!) still hurts when it’s pelted at you from a few feet away. ;) Jenny and Chris were smart to use an umbrella as a shield…

Finally!!

Love this diptych. J&C used keys to designate seating assignments, and had mini floral arrangements in antique containers all throughout their barn reception. Fun fact: I helped Jody arrange around 15 of these little babies. Most of which with one of the Strom twins on my hip and sucking my hand. YAY for multi-tasking, y’all.

And they danced. Under the ambience of a hundred twinkle lights.

Congratulations – over and OVER – to the new Mr. and Mrs. Chris Hardy!

Happy Wednesday!! Be sure to send J&C your best wishes…
