A Mid-Summer Inspired Shoot at The Grove with Hannah Elissa Floral Design & Event Styling

Happy Monday, blog friends :) The day has finally arrived!! While in upstate NY earlier this month, I had the pleasure of collaborating yet again with the fabulous Hannah of Hannah Elissa Floral Design & Event Styling. Every detail was perfectly planned and ready for documenting the moment I pulled up to The Grove in South Valley. I also put my own makeup/hair skills to the test on our very willing model (my BEAUTIFUL cousin, Nell) who couldn’t have done a better job helping our vision come to life! I am SO very excited to share these images… But before I do, I’ll hand the commentary over to Hannah herself so y’all can learn about her process!

“When I first saw The Grove – a private garden located in upstate New York – I knew I had found a special place. Sheltered under a canopy of trees and accented with antique wrought iron furniture, The Grove provided the perfect backdrop for our mid-summer shoot… In a romantic color palette of raspberry, peach and shades of blue, I chose flowers such as lush garden roses, oncidium orchids, delicate tweedia, nerine lilies and beautiful begonia foliage. I foraged the day before the shoot for blueberry and pear branches – the perfect unexpected addition to my arrangements! … The table for four was set with Blue Willow and accented with blueberry bunches and panna cotta. The dress by Ruche was perfect for our sweet model, Nell, and mimicked the casually elegant setting perfectly. I wrapped her bouquet with hand dyed silk and pleated ribbons that coordinated well with the petite blueberry and pear boutonnieres… These simple details came together seamlessly to inspire brides to embrace the beauty found in the natural, the unexpected and the whimsical.” Bravo, Han!!

Hannah ALSO played cake lady for the day :)

Could she be any more stunning? If you need help answering that question, it’s “NO!”

Hannah not only set up four place settings, but designed three smaller arrangements like that on the left.

So happy with this image – made almost by accident!

I’ve never seen sweeter bouts… And the light in this next picture alone proves there’s a God who loves me!

I DIED over the unexpected pops of light blue in Nell’s bouquet. Look closely!!

Hannah’s work is one-of-a-kind. There’s so much attention to detail infused in her process. And it shows!

P.S. That panna cotta? One of the loveliest things I’ve ever tasted…

At one point, it seemed as though Nell had a spotlight shining on her. And rightly so ;)

So in love with the various votives Han chose for this shoot!

As an avid fan of asymmetry, this one was quite the depature… :)

A very-favorite bird’s-eye-view to top it all off!

And of COURSE y’all want to see the mastermind, right? Here she is :) Doing her thang!

SO many thanks to Hannah for being my wonderful and insanely-talented friend. :) XO!!
