Tidbit Tuesday #86

Okay… I’ve been on a massive roasting kick lately. Roasted cauliflower. Roasted chickpeas. And yesterday? Roasted fennel. I don’t think I had ANY clue that fennel actually existed. And by fennel I mean magically delicious, smells-like-licorice-but-thankfully-doesn’t-taste-like-it, white bulbs of edible goodness. It was the best lunch I’ve EVER had. Not even kidding. Which is why it’s obviously so dang tidbit worthy. Recipe HERE!!

I want Steve Carell to be my uncle. Or much older brother, at the very least. Dylan and I saw Crazy Stupid Love this past weekend, thanks to my incessant pleading. (A movie with such a stupid title is VERY difficult to win Dylan over on.) But it was so charming and sweet and fun. Plus, Alan from Remember the Titans is in it. (He’ll always be Alan to me.) I won’t tell you how many tears I cried, but it was probably along the lines of 12 or so.

Ever since our accident, Dylan and I drive with so much more caution. Almost too much caution. Which is why when we were rear-ended on Sunday, I sort of fell apart. Imagine thinking you’re a second away from an accident about five times throughout a 10-minute drive, bottling up all that anxiety, and then some dude rams into your back bumper at a stoplight. Thankfully, he only hit our trailer hitch, and no damage was done to either vehicle. And thankfully, he didn’t hear me, or see me point to our right like a crazy person when I saw him put on his left signal. I was all “Oh nooo you didn’t. You’re NOT fleeing the scene if I have anything to do with it.” I say “thankfully” because he DID pull over with us, and was super nice and apologetic. Which made me feel awful… So, Mr. Guy in the Other Car? If you ever find yourself reading this. I am sorry. Let’s be friends!

My dad just sent me this infomercial. (I’m a notorious sucker for them. ESPECIALLY for anything that cleans your home AND makes pasta at the same time.) It’s for MaxTall Shoe Inserts. I’ll let the clip speak for itself. But in the words of my father, “What moron is going to want their date to think that instead of the normal three inches from ankle to heel bottom, they have 6 inches from the ankle to the bottom of the foot… I mean how bizarre does that look?” :)

Song of the Week: Starlight by Muse. Because it’s from the Crazy Stupid Love trailer. And yes, because I’m now obsessed. How anyone cannot be absolutely in love with this song is beyond me. So if you don’t already know it, give it a listen-to HERE.

My half-birthday was on Saturday! And though Dylan refused to acknowledge it, I was able to live it up with some of the most beautiful and fun clients ever, Andrea and Kyle. Whose wedding was just as fun. And just as beautiful. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come this Friday on the blog!

Happy Tuesday!! :)

Pam - Ack! You know when a photo is just too beautiful to describe and all you can do is make a sound like “arg. ack. woah.”? Yes, this is one of those photos.

Michelle - This photo makes me jump up and down with excitement that you are photographing our wedding! GORGEOUS!

Kristin Nicole - I totally understand about being anxious in the car. Jeremy and I were in a pretty bad accident about a year ago, and I am still so jumpy in the car…hate it.
