I cannot tell a lie… I’m sitting here (at home in NY) wrapped up in a camel-colored Snuggie, forcing myself to stop belting It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay by Whitney so I can just BLOG ALREADY. “But was it reeeally worth you going out like THAAAT?! Tell me…” Okay, I’m done now! Back to our regularly scheduled Tidbit Tuesday.
As I said, I am home for the week. Actually – 12 days. I arrived late Thursday so I could shoot one of the most incredible weddings of my LIFE on Saturday, followed by six incredible mini-sessions yesterday, and wrap up loose ends for my sister’s bridal showers this coming weekend. I know now how much of my heart belongs to TX, because home feels a little more strange every time I’m back. Not that I’m not enjoying my momma’s food, or sipping wine with my parents late at night, or seeing friends I haven’t seen in YEARS… I am truly grateful.
I’ve been driving my parents’ new car while home, and have been going about 20 miles under the speed limit everywhere I go (much to the chagrin of everyone stuck behind me)… It’s a little intimidating, mmkay?! Still, I managed to murder a sweet, innocent chipmunk who was probably just running back across the street to bring nuts back to her hungry little babies. I may or may not have shed a tear. Rest in peace, Chippy…
Song of the Week: Oh HOW Can I Decide?! by Alyse French. No but really… This week I’ve been compiling a ginormous play list for Lorae’s bridal showers, and I have way too many amazing songs stuck in my head to possibly pick one. So here’s my question for YOU! What is your favorite fun/happy/girly song at the moment? I’ve got one hour of tunes all set, but I need two more! So give me whatcha GOT, pretty please! :)
Remember that wedding I shot on Saturday? I wasn’t kidding about it being in my top three… Maybe even my top two. Such a wildly inspiring venue, an incredibly talented team of vendors, and trusting clients made for the most magical day! Here’s a sneak peek until I can blog many, MANY more favorites next week!

jessica - you have to go with “someday” by Mariah…never endless fun trying to reach the notes in that run. Also, “You Say” by Lisa Loeb…for some reason you just need to sing every word of that song at the top of my lungs…than of course, “Part of this World”…haha….go Little Mermaid…but with a pack of girls…no problem being brought right back to belting that one out…then throw some Buble in there….because who doesn’t melt…that and Harry Connick Jr. Then throw in a little Spice Girls “Tell Me What You Want” and top it off with “I’m Every Woman”….i could keep going;)
Stephanie - um. hi. anything from Glee. Rachel’s version of Taking Chances. Quinn & Sam’s duet of Lucky. The group’s Somebody to Love. Even Mr. Schue’s rendition of Alone. So many good singalongsongs there!
